Tammy and Leandro have 4 children. When they applied for their Habitat home they lived in a 2 bedroom apartment in an effort to keep their housing costs affordable. Tammy’s mom told her about Habitat a couple of years ago, but they didn’t think they would ever qualify. Then a co-worker moved into his Habitat home and told Tammy about it. Her mom was still encouraging her, so they decided to take a chance and apply, which they now think was a very good idea. “Words cannot express the happiness we feel in our hearts. Just knowing that we soon will have our own home makes us so happy and we feel so blessed. With our home we hope to create a lifetime of wonderful memories for all of us.”
