As a struggling, single mom for 13 years, Desiree had given up on the idea of ever owning a home of her own.  At the urging of her son, who wanted a home he would be proud to bring his friends to, she applied for a Habitat home.

They are both so excited to have the opportunity to have a home to “dig their feet into and be planted!”

Desiree works for the school district and was pleased that her house was the Women Build home.
