Employees from Larimer County, Global Spectrum, and Ovations (The Ranch in Loveland) came out in force to the Loveland Habitat for Humanity ReStore recently to volunteer! What a great group of people; they had that store straightened and sparkling in just 3 hours and had fun doing it. The ReStore and Habitat rely on its awesome volunteers to help build homes for deserving families through all volunteer opportunities! Thank you Volunteers! The Ranch Employees just released this news story to the media and we want to share it!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
LARIMER COUNTY AND GLOBAL SPECTRUM EMPLOYEES
GIVE BACK, AT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
EMPLOYEES VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME, TO RESTOCK THE RESTORE
Loveland, CO – Habitat for Humanity is an International nonprofit that survives solely on volunteer labor and donations. The employees of Larimer County, Global Spectrum, and Ovations teamed up Tuesday morning to re-stock, clean, and price items at the ReStore in Loveland.
“It’s important for us to give back to the communities we serve all year long,” said Global Spectrum’s Rick Hontz, General Manager of Budweiser Events Center. “We enjoy helping Habitat for Humanity because they really need our help and the strength of volunteers to continue their amazing public service.”
Habitat for Humanity is not a give away program. In addition to the ReStore, where items are reasonably priced and affordable, houses are built upon a monthly mortgage and ‘sweaty equity’ program. Every adult resident is required to invest hundreds of hours into their own home, the ReStore, or in the houses of others. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at zero profit and financed with affordable loans.
Larimer County’s Bob Herrfeldt, Director of The Ranch said, “There are so many families in need right here in our own backyard and it’s wonderful partnering with an organization like Habitat, who takes every donation and puts it to use. Everything donated is used either by someone locally, or in third world countries.”
