Jessica and her son are settling into their new Habitat home thanks to the generosity of Thrivent Financial which contributed 55% of the cost of the home and the local Thrivent/Lutheran community who were generous with their time, resources, and efforts. Loveland Habitat for Humanity is one of dozens of affiliates nationwide who have been recipients of Thrivent Financial funding during the past 6 years, leading to increased capacity.
On Saturday, Oct. 22, family, friends, volunteers, and members of the community gathered to celebrate the dedication of her home. Dedications are a time to celebrate all the hard work, sweat equity, and the special moment where a key is presented to the new homeowner. There’s laughter, tears, and realization that another dream of homeownership has been fulfilled. For Jessica, she couldn’t wait to personalize their home with walls “any color they want.” “Thank you Thrivent Financial, and members and friends of the Thrivent and Lutheran communities. Others have stability, hope for a better future, and a safe decent, affordable place to call home because of you,“ she added.
