Dust off the golf clubs and get ready to tee it up for a great cause on Saturday, June 19, as Loveland Habitat for Humanity hosts its second annual fundraising golf tournament at Mariana Butte in Loveland.
Presented by Alicia Stewart of Keller Williams Realty, the 8 a.m. shotgun scramble will benefit Habitat’s Thrivent Builds Home currently under construction for a Loveland family. The Thrivent Builds Homes program is designed to financially support the construction of hundreds of Habitat homes annually in the United States. Thrivent Financial provides the majority of the construction costs for each home, with remaining funding generated by Habitat affiliates and their supporters.
The tournament fee of $125 per person includes all course fees, cart rental, a fabulous lunch and awards program, a drawing ticket, a goody bag and a chance to win great prizes from the Pro Shop at Mariana Butte. Golfers will also enjoy complimentary beer from Rock Bottom Brewery, team photos, a silent auction, a 50/50 game, a $50 gift certificate to the stores4golfers.com store and many more additional surprises. For those players who love a challenge, the Loveland Habitat Tournament offers a great challenge on select Par 3 holes with a chance to win – with a Hole-In-One – a Bose Wave Music System, a $500 Visa Gift Card, a choice of new Nike Golf Clubs and a trip to Hawaii!
“Our organization is very excited about the tournament and so grateful it was brought to us by Alicia Stewart. This is a great opportunity for people to come out, have a fabulous day of fun and golf, and help raise money for an awesome cause. We are so excited about this annual event and want to thank the local community for all their support of the golf tournament!” said Gwen Stephenson, Executive Director of Loveland Habitat for Humanity. “With all the proceeds staying right here in Loveland and building a home for a local family, people have a great opportunity to be directly involved with the mission of Habitat, which is offering a hand up not a hand out as we try to truly breaking the cycle of poverty.”
In addition to team and individual spots being available, sponsorships are also still available for the event. Sponsors receive numerous benefits and at some levels receive multiple players in the tournament. To sign up for the tournament or to become a sponsor, visit www.lovelandhabitatforhumanity.org.
